I hope that you will sponsor me in my second London Marathon.    Brother Mark will be flying home from South Africa to take part this year with me, although we are not sure that we will be running together.   Look out for wife Clare with the girls and Mum and Nigel who will all be around the course somewhere to cheer us both on.

This year I am running for Cancer Campaign in Suffolk which is a local charity that Mum helped to set up in 1998.    As you know, Mark and I lost both our grandfathers to cancer when we were quite young.

This year the charity are hoping to raise £250,000 by September to fund a Mobile Cancer Information Unit which will travel around to villages, towns, schools, colleges, clubs, businesses and a variety of other organisations, hoping to inform and advise about the disease.

Update after the event - I just made it under the four hours in 3hr 59mins 57 secs!  Great to have you all cheering us on, it makes such a difference.    Congrats to Mark who did his first marathon in 4hrs 43mins - well done bro!
