My story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Marie Curie Cancer Care gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Although I would like to run the Marathon in 3hrs 15mins and qualify for the following year! the only reason that I considered running the Marathon again after 22 years was to raise £1,000 or more for Marie Curie in memory of Malvina, who Abigail and I miss more than words can tell. If you don't wish to sponsor me online you can give me a cheque or cash, with a message and I will post this onto the website.

Abigail will be watching me on the day at Poplar High Street - the Drinks Station run by my 2nd claim club, East London Runners, who I joined in 1986. I would also like to thank my new club Tiptree Road Runners, who I joined in 2005, for helping me train for the Marathon and supporting myself and Abigail through this difficult time.                                                                                                               Kind Regards Simon & Abigail
