In August 2007 I am going to climb Mt Kilimanjaro.  I shall be doing it to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) trust.  I shall also be doing it in memory of my sister, Louise, who lived through nearly everything CF could throw at her.  She died in August 1999 at Papworth Hospital.  Throughout her life she bore her illness with courage, strength and unbelievably good humour.

I had always promised myself that I would do something in her memory and so here I am, asking for your money!  The money I raise through this venture will go to the CF Trust.  The work of the Trust is detailed to the left of this page or can visit their website at www.cftrust.org.uk .  This isn't just paying for me to go on a jolly to Tanzania for ten days; I'm paying the majority of the trip costs myself.  Almost everything you give will be going to the CF Trust.

The £3000 fundraising figure I have on this site isn't a target - hopefully it'll just be a stop on the way to an even higher figure!
