MAG - Cycle Vietnam to Cambodia · 25 February 2010 ·

Every single day, 17 people are killed or injured because of landmines and other explosive weapons. Almost half of all civilian casualties are children. MAG finds and destroys these weapons to save lives and rebuild futures; helping people to grow crops, attend school and build homes.

Story

Thank you for visiting my page!

In February 2010 I will be Cycling 460k over five days from Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam to Angkor Wat in Cambodia.  All money raised wil go to the "Mines Advisary Group", one of the worlds leading landmine clearence organisations.

I'm not going to lie to you.  I first decided to do this because it looked like great fun and a great chance for me to visit Vietnam and Cambodia.

Brilliantly, I discovered that MAG are also a great charity to be involved with.  It really is a worthwhile cause  and I'm proud to be supporting them is some small way.   Have a read about MAG just over there to the left on this page.

I put £1500 as my fundraising target as this is this minimum amount i need to raise.  It would be fantastic to achieve this sooner and be able to aim higher still!

All personal costs for this trip (including, flights, food, visas, accomodation etc) will be paid for by me.  This means that all money donated by you goes straight to MAG to be used by them to help where they need it most.

Thanks very much for your donation!

-A Huge thank - you to everyone who has dropped some change into the donation box at Harpenden Cycles.  Many people have been very generous, so ta. very much.
