In April I am taking on the London Marathon. I am running on behalf of CLIC Sargent; a childrens cancer charity who provide care and support to affected patients and families. So why CLIC Sargent:
 
When a child is diagnosed with cancer it can seem like normal life stops and a different journey begins. It’s a journey that tests families physically, emotionally, socially and financially.
 
CLIC Sargent helps with so much...

• During treatment – providing specialist nurses, doctors, play specialists, Homes from Home
• In hospital & at home – offering specialist social care and family support in the community – specialist youth services, holidays, grants, helpline
• After treatment – helping survivors, supporting those bereaved, research
 
To be told that a child has cancer comes as a terrible shock. Thanks to research into treatment and causes, the outlook is now one of hope, forward thinking and positive outcomes.
