Our company is celebrating 10 years in business this year and as a thank you to our first customer, The Royal Hallamshire Hospital, we have challenged ourselves to walk from Barnsley, where our office is, to the hospital on the 21 of September 2011. We hope to raise much needed funds for the Sheffield Hospitals Charity.
The walk is just over 15 miles (up and down some very big hills) and will take our team of 10 on the same route that we took 10 years ago when the hospital became one of the first in the country to embrace our single use suction tube product. The challenge is that this time we won’t have a car, just a large box of plasters and some biscuits to help us along the way. We hope to finish within 7 hours.
The Royal Hallamshire Hospital is part of the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and is recognised internationally for its work in neurosciences, spinal injuries, cancer, transplantation, neurosciences and orthopaedics. Over 13,500 staff care for over a million patients each year across the five hospitals in the trust.
The Sheffield Hospitals Charity needs funding to improve aspects of patient care, over and above the core services provided by the government. Your donations will help to buy specialist medical equipment, fund crucial research into illness and provide essential improvements to Sheffield hospitals, benefitting patients and families alike.
