Thank you for taking the time to check out my fundraising page.

For those of you that dont know I am lucky enough to be part of a Brighton University Project called "Football 4 Peace". The project involves travelling to Israel and working with children from Jewish and Arab communities to make a modest contribution to the peace process.

We use football as a broad medium to do this, including team building, problem solving and trust games, to build relationships between the children and encourage them to work together both within and after the project. 

It is an extremely valuable project that I have seen make a huge difference to children taking part.

As part of the project we work closely with Israeli coaches to bridge not only the communication gap, but to also one day continue the project more regularly, and without The University of Brighton.

As part of my fundraising challenge this year I am, along with other UK coaches from the project, attempting the "Three Peaks Challenge". This means climbing up and down the three highest mountains in Britain (Ben Nevis-Scafell-Snowdon).  This is definately a challenge for me, however the additional challenge is that we are attempting to complete it within 24 hours! Clock starts from the base of Ben Nevis, includes climbing and driving time, and stops when we reach the bottom of Snowdon. Eek!  The challenge is due to take place on the last weekend in June, and details of the challenge and Project itself are available on www.football4peace.org.uk
