Sing Out! For Wounded Warriors · 26 March 2008

Blesma, The Limbless Veterans helps all serving and ex-Service men and women who have lost limbs, or lost the use of limbs or eyes, to rebuild their lives by providing rehabilitation activities and welfare support.

Story

With many thanks to RAF personnel from MOD London and RAF Mountain Rescue, I completed ascents of the ’s 3 highest mountains over the period 9-11 August.  Each ascent was carried out in heavy rain and strong winds and the climb of Scarfell Pike was terminated slightly short of the summit on the advice of RAF Mountain Rescue personnel. I managed to sing planned songs but sadly recording and photography was hampered by the appalling weather.  The challenge is complete and the team are now focussing on selling the “SING OUT! FOR WOUNDED WARRIORS” CD produced in conjunction with the fundraiser. This includes songs such as: You Raise Me Up, Never Walk Alone, Jerusalem and ‘Til the End of Time, a song written specifically for the event by renowned songwriter Tim Spencer.  ALL profits will go to the British Limbless Ex-Service Men’s Association.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: British Limbless Ex-Service Men's Association (Blesma) will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now! Further details are available at www.blesma.org and www.singoutforwoundedwarriors.com

Many thanks for your support.
