About our charity : Northwick Park Institute For Medical Research Northwick Park Institute For Medical Research
It is a world leading medical research institute carrying out vital research into various diseases and illnesses including Sudden Infant Death Syndrom (SIDS or cot death), Intra-Uterine Growth Retardation (IUGR), pre-eclampsia, burns injuries incl. children's burns, skin repair, tendon and ligament injury, fistula, bowel disorders, heart disease, stroke and other vascular disorders.

Our personal message:

Following on from our world record achievement of 2007 when The Sisterhood crossed the English Channel in a dragonboat and successfully raised £150,000 for The Babes in Arms Appeal at Northwick Park and The CHASE Ben Hollioake Fund, the 'hood' is back!

With double the girls, double the events and hopefully double the funds raised, The Sisterhood kicks off 2008 with an Adventure race, The Vogolonga (a 30km boat race round the canals of Venice in May), Triathlons, Surf Boat races and culminates with a 120 mile raft race down the Amazon on September 19th.

On top of the sports events, there are monthly fundraising events hosted by the notorious private members club 'Boujis' and The Renaissance Club; parties at London Rowing Club and Adam Street private members club, as well as many other events along the way and all are welcome.

Please help us reach our fundraising target for our charities either through donations or by joining us at any of our events. For those of you on facebook there is a 'sisterhood and groupies' group that will keep you posted on all our upcoming parties.
