Sisters, Mari Roberts from Llanarmon yn Ial near Mold and Sarah Jones from Bangor, North Wales will be trekking in Patagonia during October 2008 in aid of Mencap Cymru. We'll be accompanied by 40-50 other trekkers and also Iolo Williams (S4C & BBC fame) trekking 80km over all types of terrain in 5 days.

The £3,500 which we have to raise each, includes all our costs - so we have both decided to cover our 'holiday' costs i.e. air fare, meals, airport taxes and insurance ourselves. This is paid into Mencap's account as all other donations. This ensures that all the money you kindly donate will sponsor our trek efforts and go to Mencap be used to help children & adults with learning disabilities, their families & carers in our communities. We all know someone who will benefit.

Only 6 months to go! We are both trying to take every opportunity to train hard now - the dogs are getting fitter too!!

4 mis i fynd! Cael cyngerdd ardderchog yn Llanarmon yn Ial nos Wener dwetha a'r diwrnod wedyn cyfarfod yn Aberystwyth penwythnos dydd Sadwrn gyda'r cerddwyr eraill. Gweld lluniau da o'r ardal lle byddwn yn cerdded, dringo, cysgu, a gwersylla am 5 niwrnod.

4 months to go now! Fabulous concert in Llanarmon yn Ial church last Friday. Met up with other trekkers in Aberystwyth last Saturday - everyone training now. Good to see where we're going to & how much kit we've got to carry, where we'll be camping and walking, saw a photo of the dreaded tyrolean bridge which we'll be crossing!! 

On track with the fundraising now - so I can relax a bit on that front and just walk more often and further for the next few months.

** Ychydig dros 6 wythnos i fynd rwan!!! Diolch i bawb sy'n dal i'n cefnogi a rheiny sy'n cerdded hefo mi, yn ogystal a Cherddwyr Dyffryn Clwyd - bu'm i ag eraill o gerddwyr Patagonia/Mencap o'r gogledd 'ma yn cerdded uwchben Llangwm penwythnos dwetha - am dro bendigedig.

**Just over 6 weeks to go!! Thanks to you all for your continued support and to friends who've been walking with me recently and the Vale of Clwyd Ramblers who we joined last weekend with some other Patagonia/Mencap trekkers from the  north here for a good walk above Llangwm.

**Wedi cerdded fyny'r Wyddfa 3 gwaith,  rhannau o Glawdd Offa 3 gwaith, Cader Idris unwaith a sawl tro o gwmpas adref yn y 5 wythnos dwetha'. Walked up Snowdon 3 times, Part of Clawdd Offa 3 times, Cader Idris once and several walks around home in the past 5 weeks.

**Ond 6 diwrnod i fynd rwan! Just 6 days to go now!! Gobeithio fod popeth yn barod bellach! What I haven't done or got ready by now it's hard luck! 3 days off, then 2 more days in work then 1 left to pack!!

Wel dyma ni'n ol. Am daith wych! Wedi mwynhau pob munud heblaw yr oriau methu cysgu yn yr oerfel yn y babell!

Well here we are back. What a fantastic trek! Enjoyed every minute of it except the sleepless nights due the cold!
