My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the JustGiving page for sisters Annabel Gunn, Lee Ferguson & Mandy Gibbons.

In 2008 Lee & Annabel took part in a trek in Borneo to raise funds for Orangutan rehabilitation - we enjoyed it so much look what we are doing next!!!

This time round Lee and I are being joined by our sister Mandy, who lives in Ireland, and we three are taking part in this new Women V Cancer challenge in November 2011.  This is a women-only event and the team of cyclists will be riding through Kenya to support the work of three charities - Breast Cancer Care; Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust & Ovarian Cancer Action.  A donation will also be made to support cancer care in Kenya.

Our group will cycle around 400kms over 5 days - both on & off road - experiencing Africa away from the usual tourist trails through savannah plains, wildlife game parks, tropical rainforests and traditional villages.  This amazing experience will also give us some quality time together and we will be there to encourage each other when the going gets tough.

As well as training hard, we need to raise a minimum of £2800 each to support the work of the Women V Cancer charities so to pledge your support pleeeese donate via this site to help us reach (and exceed) our target.

Thank you so much.
