We fund vital research into neuroblastoma to find new and better treatments

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is me in my Buzz Lightyear outfit that I will be running the 26.2 miles of the LONDON MARATHON in on April 17th 2011.  This will be the first half of the MARATHON DOUBLE HEADER that I am attempting.  The second half will be completed if I can run the EDINBURGH MARATHON, on the 22nd May, in a personal best time.  Several years ago I ran the New York Marathon in 3 hrs 37 minutes but since then I have to admit, I am carrying a few more pounds, a few more years, not to mention the “emotional burden” of gaining a wife and now being an expectant father!! By doing this challenge I am aiming to raise awareness for two charities that have been incredibly supportive to my family during the ongoing treatment of my little three year old nephew Luke.  The NEUROBLASTOMA SOCIETY provides invaluable information and a supportive network as well as funding research into this cruel disease.  CANCER RESEARCH UK is heavily involved in researching and funding pioneering treatment of this type of childhood cancer as well as many others.

My extended family are very generously sponsoring me for this DOUBLE MARATHON CHALLENGE but any other sponsorship, large or small, would be extremely gratefully received.

Thank you
