Thank you for visiting my page,In September 2008 I am skateboarding down Japan's highest mountain, Mount Fuji, to raise vital funds for the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID). The 17 mile descent down Mount Fuji drops almost 5,000 feet in altitude. Why?Every year 300 apparently healthy babies die suddenly and unexpectedly in the UK. If the same number of people were involved annually in a fatal plane or train crash there would be outrage and investigations. My brother tragically died of cot death on the 22nd April 1980. Cot death is the leading kind of death in babies over one month old – claiming more lives than meningitis, leukaemia, other forms of cancer, household and road traffic accidents put together. Please donate to the FSID.Your generosity is making possible work that saves the lives of over 1,000 babies every year and directly benefits every one of the 1,900 babies born each day throughout the UK. On behalf of all the families helped by FSID, thank you for your support. It is appreciated more than we can say.Donating through Justgiving.com is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.Thank you,James~ Are you funding this trip yourself?"James is covering the whole cost of the trip himself so any money that you donate will come directly to FSID."~ Pam O'Brien, Events Manager for the FSID (Tel: 020 7222 8003 (direct)) http://www.fsid.org.uk/skateboard-fuji.html~ Is this a registered charity?Yes, number 262191.Please feel free to confirm any of the above with the FSID:http://www.fsid.org.uk/Artillery House11-19 Artillery RowLondon SW1P 1RTHelpline: 020 7233 2090General: 020 7222 8001Fundraising: 020 7222 8003Media: 020 7227 5212 Fax: 020 7222 8002office@fsid.org.ukFRIENDSI'm carrying my boards to Japan in a DECENT HARDWARE bag "designed by a life long skater and proudly hand made by a family firm, NOT A SWEAT SHOP, from the strongest materials, Decent Hardware have the answers."http://www.decenthardware.com/
