We fund life saving medical research to beat the world's biggest killers.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

This August we (Simon Katy and Rob) will be swapping skis for saddles and cycling a gruelling 100 miles, braving road-rash, man eating potholes, sore legs and even worse - saddle soreness! We will be putting our bodies on the line raising money for an amazing charity in the British Heart Foundation.

The BHF are currently funding hundreds of researchers on around 1,200 projects. All aim to find new, better treatments for people with heart and circulatory disease, or develop new ways to better prevent or diagnose it.

Within a decade, they aim to:

·         halve the number of people under 75 who die from cardiovascular disease

·         make sure at least two thirds of people under 75 survive a heart attack

·         reduce heart-related deaths in all UK local authority areas to the current level in South East England or below

·         reverse the increase in childhood obesity.

So please dig deep and help us reach our modest target of £500!

Heart and circulatory diseases are the world’s biggest killers. That’s why the British Heart Foundation exists. By funding research, we can help find treatments and cures that could save lives. With your donations and the awe-inspiring science we fund, we make science fiction a reality, together.
