On Sunday, 8th November 2009, I shall be taking off from a top secret location (Old Buckenham Airfield) reaching an altitude of 13,000ft before jumping out and reaching a top speed of 120mph also known as a sky dive. Why would I want to put myself through that I hear you ask......the reason is simple, to help raise money for Ansar Youth project (AYP).

AYP is a project which aims to help the less privileged youths in society aged 11-19 living in North West London. It does this by running mentoring and leadership programmes, offering counselling to those who require emotional support, running a life skills workshop to help people with their studies and to discuss issues such as bullying, relationships and drugs. In addition the youth club provides sporting facilities such as table tennis and pool.

The money raised will be used to manage all the different services. With a membership of nearly 500 young people core costs are quite high even without a single full-time paid post. I aim to raise £1000 for this worthwhile cause and I know that with your generous donation this can  become a reality. So I ask you to please dig deep into your pockets and donate to help youth gain life skills/experiences which you and I take for granted.
