Thanks for visiting our fundraising page. Who are we?
Louise Scotter -- disabled by Muscular Dystrophy
May Limb -- 94 years old and ready for new challenges!
We are raising funds for two incredible charities, and splitting funds equally:
The Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance is a rapid response emergency helicopter covering 3,000 square miles across Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. It is operational every day of the week all year round completing an average of 3 to 4 missions a day saving many lives across the region. On 6th of March 2008, we flew our 10,000th mission. The helicopter provides a fast, smooth, efficient journey to hospital, avoiding traffic jams and reaching accident sites which are often inaccessible to land ambulances. A high proportion of “call outs” are to road traffic accidents and we average at least 5 leisure activity incidents a month. LNAA Charity Registration No 1017501
Using the gift of flight, the British Disabled Flying Association changes the lives of disabled and terminally ill adults and children stimulating hope for the future. At the controls of a specially adapted aircraft, disabled people experience empowerment and self belief with lasting effects. The BDFA works with everyone whether they have a mobility impairment, sensory impairment, learning disability and those with terminal disease. The BDFA also provides flying experiences for other British charities and injured military personnel.
These two charities are very important to us, using aviation to save lives and to change lives for the better. Support our parachute jump at Langar Airfield near Nottingham on 6 November 2008 by giving generously. Better still, why not come along and cheer us on? Many thanks for your support.
