On Saturday 6th June I completed a triathalon at Blenheim Palace, something I had been training for (in between making coffee) for a few months. It has been somewhat of a challenge for me and something I was never entirely sure that I would be able to complete. However, I surprised myself by not only finishing but also not coming in last! I would like to mark this moment at the beginning of my sporting events career by using it to raise a little bit of money for a very good cause - Auditory Verbal UK (AV). Kenzie has been visiting the AV team in Bicester for over a year and we passionately believe that they have been a huge part of his communication successes. AVUK fundraises so that it can keep the cost of therapy affordable for every family and offer bursaries where necessary. AV work very hard to open their service up to a wider audience and encourage all their parents to fundraise so that more and more hearing impaired children can benefit from their wonderful work. So, a 400m swim, 13k bike ride and 3k run later please help me to raise some money for a charity that work so hard to help hearing impaired children learn to listen, understand and talk.
