About Rainbows
Rainbows hospice for children and young people relies heavily on public donations to keep the centre running. It is the only hospice in the East Midlands specifically designed for children and young people with life limiting illnesses and disabilities.
Sadly, some children simply don’t live long enough. But Rainbows is a place where life-limited children and their families can find care and support. It's incredible team of people helps relieve symptoms, improve quality of life, support parents and siblings through their bereavements and care for children until the end.All children need a place to play, laugh and love life. This sort of place can be very difficult to come by though, when your child has a serious, life limiting illness. This is where Rainbows comes in. It is a place where the children and their families are cared for and supported by an amazing bunch of people. A place where the children are free to express themselves. A place where expert care can simply allow the children to be children.
