The British Heart Foundation is the nation's heart charity. Every day they save lives, through pioneering research, providing vital information to help people reduce their own heart health risks, campaigning for change and supporting and caring for heart patients.
On July 13, I embark on a 1,200 mile, 3 month trek from John o'Groats to Land's End (JOGLE).
The
route passes over mountains and through boglands, linking together the
Great Glen, the Pennine and the Cotswold Way footpaths. Much of my
route is sparsely populated, so I will be mainly wild-camping and
taking water from streams.
I aim to raise money for two important charities, CANCER RESEARCH UK and the BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION, and will share my journey through my website www.steveslongwalk.org
This page is for donations to the BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION only. Contributions
to both charities are obviously welcomed, but I hope that you will feel
inclined to donate to both my charities. To give to CANCER RESEARCH UK you will need to go to www.justgiving.com/slw-cruk
Please
sponsor me. It will help to keep me motivated on those days when it is
raining, my feet are sore, my back is aching, my food has run out and I
can't find a suitable place to pitch my tent.
Many thanks. Steve
Note that the event date is the estimated completion date. You will have to keep an eye on my website www.steveslongwalk.org to find out when I do actually arrive.
