We set ourselves the challenge of finding the highest point on earth where we could carry overland, on foot, Swagelok products and use them in an application - the highest spot we could find was the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

During the planning process we decided to support two great charitable causes close to our hearts where, through donations, we could potentially make a difference to the outstanding work the Alzeimer's Society and Save the Children perform - we collectively felt that a charity that could make a difference at the outset of life and one that could make a huge difference at the end of life allowed us to provide support across the spectrum of life.

At just under 20,000ft above sea level the summit of Kilimanjaro is higher than Everest base camp and will require seven days to climb and descend. We travel to Tanzania on June 6th and should summit around the 12th if all goes according to plan.

Any donation you can make will go directly to the charitable causes identified and will directly benefit the outstanding work performed - all costs for the expedition have been funded by ourselves.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
