Our vision is that patients with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses in our area can choose how and where they want to be cared for towards the end of life. We provide 24/7 responsive Hospice at Home care and support for all the family during the illness and through bereavement.

Story

Hi everyone !

Thanks for visiting my Justgiving page, sit back, relax and get ready to spend some of your spare cash for what really is a very good cause...

On Sunday 20th September, I along with some friends are going to complete the very first Chilterns 3 Peaks Challenge in aid of the Iain Rennie Hospice at Home charity.

The Iain Rennie Hospice at Home is a registered charity offering specialist and supportive care and advice for patients with cancer and other life threatening illnesses in their homes. They also aim to help the relatives and those carers close to the patient during the illness and bereavement period.

I doubt there are many people who have not been affected in someway by this terrible and somewhat ever increasing illness, whether they have battled themselves against it or had relatives or friends who have been unfortunate to suffer with it.

Ian Rennie Hospice at Home employ teams of nurses who can provide practical nursing care and specialist support and advice. The nurses operate a 24 hour on-call service and are available to visit patients at home or offer advice over the telephone at any time of the day or night, all year round. This means that patients and their families feel supported and in control as they know that an Iain Rennie Nurse is never more than a phone call away.

To provide this amazing service they need more money as only 16% is funded by the NHS.

Please dig as deep as you can, every bit helps and you really will be helping people....

Thankyou for reading and your very kind support.

Simon.
