Story

Thanks for visiting our Smiley Smarties fundraising page.

Members and supporters of the Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre in Edinburgh already collect over £2000 a year in empty smartie tubes. As the Centre is almost entirely dependent upon donations and fundraising, this is a welcome contribution towards the £100,000 a year it costs us to keep the centre going. As you probably know,Scotland has the largest percentage of MS patients in the world.

Now through justgiving it is possible for anyone, anywhere in the world, who enjoys smarties, to use their empty tubes to send us a donation.

Just eat and enjoy the smarties as usual, then keep the empty tube somewhere in full view. Every day, move some of your small change to the tube (or high-denomination coins if you wish, all the better) and when it is full, count how much is in it. Come to this donations page and send us online that amount. The actual coins are then available to buy more smarties and the whole cycle restarted.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre Lothian Limited gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please buy a tube and start munching now!
