Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The gauntlet was laid down by my team at work, that I wouldn't dare dye my hair to a completely unnatural colour. They know that I am never one to shirk a challenge but then I also realised that it would be fantastic to raise money for a special charity alongside it.

Stupidly I mentioned it to my manager, who suggested that the sponsorship should be based around how long I keep it dyed for, which is what I now intend to do.

It will be an initial two-stage process, the first being a bleach of hair and beard, then subsequent stages of applying s bright, unnatural colour, only refreshing it when it starts to fade.

At the age of 52, and as a manager who has to attend regular meetings (some external), I actually am not sure what I have let myself in for. On top of this and even with the current situation, I still need to go out in public, so it isn't just a case of people at work seeing me looking unusually colourful (or jazzy as my granny used to say).

I will, of course, be over the moon with any donations but I will set a precedent of £5.00 per week, so the person who donates the largest amount of money will ensure that I keep my hair and beard coloured for the number of weeks evaluated from their total donation.

Many thanks in advance for your support.
