It's hard to believe it has been over 10 months since the trip. We are still receiving lots of interest and requests for talks.

WE MADE IT! - Both us and our 2cv arrived at Benin Coast on the 29th of November. The route was incredibly hard and we are now totally exhausted.  Photo gallery of trip and report can be seen on our website www.snailafrica.co.uk.

Eleanor Chubb and Richard Hollis have undertake an epic road trip - 9000km through Africa cutting straight across the Sahara Desert in a 25 year old 602cc Citroen 2CV tin snail as part of the 2009 Touareg Trail. Further than the Paris - Dakar professional rally, harder than a Bear Grylls adventure and 1000 times tougher than green-lane off roading in Northamptonshire but its all for a charity in need of our help.

The Route and Time.....
They will travel for one month from Brussels (Belgium), across France, Morocco, Mauritania, Mali, Burkina Faso, Togo and finish by the coast of Benin. Accompanied by 24 other Citroen 2CV's, they set off on October 31st and reach the finish by November 29th.


The Charity.....
The aim is to raise greater awareness and over £5000 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a fatal illness which leaves people locked in a failing body, unable to walk, talk or feed themselves.  Every day five people die from this cruel disease. Over 5000 people are diagnosed with in the at any one time, yet very little is known about its cause and there is no cure.
