Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

Snappy is 25 years old this year, and is as reliant as ever on charitable donations to keep going.  We have set up a Fundraising Appeal called Save Our Snappy, which is being spearheaded by parents/carers of children who use this invaluable scheme, who are determined to ensure that it will continue for another 25 years and longer!

There will be many fundraising events taking place throughout 2009, details of which will be posted on this site.

We had our first fundraising event today -  a sale of new, boxed and unused items at  SNAPPY.   Thank you to Leeann Branton and her family for organising and running the sale, and to everybody who came along to support us.  Along with two cash donations from parents, the total raised was £128.

York Press also came along to help with the launch.  You can view the article on

Big Ian and Phil from well known York band "Huge" hosted a singalong night at the Old White Swan, Goodramgate in aid of SNAPPY.  The place was packed to the rafters and a great time was had by all.  The event raised £392.05.  Many thanks to Ian, Phil and friends, and of course to everybody who came along to support the event.
