We are the Snoezey Runners (and some of us are Snoezey Walkers!)
This is probably the biggest fundraising challenge we have ever undertaken. Collectively 28 Snoezelen staff, supporters, volunteers and University staff are embarking on the Birmingham 13 mile Great Run, in order to help raise awareness and much needed funds for the Worcester Snoezelen.
Daily we see the profound effect our services have on people of all ages. Children, adults and families make up the 400 people who visit the centre weekly to enjoy a range of specialist activities.
The Worcester Snoezelen has been established for 18 years and within this time has expanded it's services around the needs of it's users. It exists to offer meaningful and fulfilling therapeutic leisure opportunities for people who have disabilities. This ever evolving service currently encompasses; Multi-Sensory exploration, Hydrotherapy, Soft Play fun, an in-house and outreach accessible Music Project, Creative Arts provision through workshops and clubs.
Check out the photos if you need some encouragement to dig deep!
Many Thanks from Snoezey Runners
