Donations cannot currently be made to this page

Monte Carlo or Bust · 12 July 2013

At Children Today we provide grants for vital, life-changing specialised equipment for children and young people up to the age of 25 years old across the UK. Our aim is to ensure that every child and young person fulfils their potential and has the best possible quality of life.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Have you seen the old movie "Monte Carlo or Bust" or Top Gear's motoring challenges?

Well Santa's not so little helpers (AKA Evesham Round Tablers Stuart Lyon, Ian McWilliam and Barry Andrew along with Glen Lyon from Evesham's 41 Club) are embarking on this year's real Monte Carlo or Bust Rally.

We are challenged with driving across France, Switzerland and Italy in a banger which costs no more than £250 in three days, completing extra surprise challenges being set on the way.

Why you may ask are we doing this (apart from it soundiing a great laugh)? We are hoping to raise £3,000 for Children Today charity.

£3,000 is enough for Children Today to make a very real difference to the lives of 3 - 4 disabled children living in the local community.

Children Today provide specialist equipment, often specially made for the individual child, that helps them to achieve their full potential and live a more independent life. Like Luke (who has severe Cerebral Palsy) pictured above, who's new wheelchair enables him to go to school independently and interact with his classmates just like other children.

We are doing the hard (fun) bit but we can't do it all without your help and support so now for the easy bit. Please make your donations to help us reach (or better!) our target and make a real difference to children's lives.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. So please dig deep and donate now.

Thanks again for your support and watch out for our updates as we get prepared and then set off.
