Story
On Friday 30th April four of us are going to cycle 870 miles from John O Groats to Lands End over 10 days to raise money for bibic.
bibic are a national charity based in Bridgwater who work with children with development problems that include Autism, Cerebral palsy, Down's syndrome, Brain injury, Attention Deficit Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and Aspergers Syndrome.
They work with the whole family, dedicating 2 whole days with the family initially to do a full assessment that gives a unique profile for each child. They then work with the child and their family to help develop the child.
Imagine if your child didn't know it was their birthday, if making them smile seemed impossible, imagine giving them a hug and getting no response, looking into their eyes and getting no connection, them screaming for no apparent reason, or the pain of waiting for them to say 'I love you' for the first time. Imagine them unable to reach for a toy and wondering if in time they will learn to play.
bibic work with families and children with these problems and change their lives.
bibic receives no Government funding and relies on donations.
