Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and donate to this great cause online and come and see this fabulous concert!

The Reading Phoenix Choir is one of the best amateur choirs in the country, having won the British Heart Foundation Choral Challenge and making it through to the group final of BBC 3 Choir of the Year last year.  The choir is a mixed-voice, 50-strong choir and we will be celebrating our 40th anniversary next year.  The Reading Phoenix is well-known for its varied programme and uanccompanied singing, giving regular concerts and an annual concert at the Hexagon each January.  For more information about the choir, please visit www.readingphoenix.org.uk .

As a member of the choir, I am organising this special concert 'Songs for Survival' in aid of Cancer Research UK because it means a lot to me, following the loss of my friend Nicky last year, and because it is something that touches everyone in some way or another.  The concert will take place at Reading Minster of St Mary the Virgin on Saturday 21st June 2008, 7.30 pm.  Follow this link for a map of the location of the church (in the 'Contact us' section): www.readingminster.org.uk .  There is no church car parking, so please use the town centre car parks.

Entry to the concert is included for those who donate through this site.  Just print off your confirmation of donation (either on this site or on your confirmation email) and bring it along to the concert.  You'll be asked wether you're purchasing a ticket during the donation process.  Please select 'yes'.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please donate now!

Many thanks for your support and we hope you enjoy the music!
