This is my first trip doing anything like this. I am taking part in "charity through adventure" this involves a group of us going to go on a trek in the region of Ladakh in the western Himalayan range. The first part of the trip is a drive through from Manali to Leh crossing four high mountain passes, Rohtang  3985m, Baralacha 4480m, Lachalung 5065m and Taglang 5370m. our first day will be spent in Rumbak an ecofriendly village, we will then cross Stok La high pass 4900m and begin our ascent in the Stok range. The trek is 30th August -14th September 2008. This is where you all come in. The funds raised for this trek will go to towards educational and rural development projects in India. Every penny counts so if you could find it in your hearts to sponsor me please I would be eternally grateful. Sewa is an amazing charity and it is definately a worthy cause.

Over the Easter weekend a group of us went and climbed three peaks in Derby and Yorkshire over two days as part of our training. There was wind, snow and hail, but it was still so much fun. It made me believe that I could actually do something extraordinory and with all your sponserships it will help motivate me to try and get to the top so thank you for believing in me and helping a worthy cause.
