Bupa Great North Run 2009 · 20 September 2009 ·

Have A Heart Suffolk and Colchester is the new name for Operation Santa Claus. Only the name has changed. We will continue for fundraise throughout the year and then award grants to registered charities in your local Heart broadcast area. Have A Heart raises money by holding events throughout the year in association with the radio station.

Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

Last year Sonia set herself a personal target of getting fit and running a half marathon; to give her real motivation she decided to raise money for charity.

Sonia completed the event and in 2009 she wants to do a half marathon in a better time, so this year she’s decided to take part in the Great North Run - the biggest half marathon in the UK.

She’s also roped in fellow Heart News presenter Emma Boon to run with her.  It will be Emma’s first half marathon but she’s a fit girl so is hoping the training won’t be too tough.

They have chosen the ‘Have A Heart’ charity as it raises funds for those less fortunate in their local Heart station broadcast area.
