My story

Hi

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
I rode 3700 miles to Russia and back on my Triumph Rocket 3 Trike (2300cc), 16 countries in 18 days  in July 2008.

This was no "walk in  the park" trip.  Riding this trike is more physically demanding than riding a motorbike as it wants to go in a straight line all the time.  Imagine turning an almost 1 tonne vehicle with no power steering, just handlebars and (wo)man power.  The trike was covered in pink butterflies before the trip so it didn't blend in!!!!!!

The countries visited were  France,Belgium,Holland,Luxembourg,Germany,Austria,Slovakia,Czech Republic or Hungary,Poland,Lithuania,Latvia,Estonia,Russia,Finland,Sweden,Denmark and back to England.

I aimed to raise a minimum of £1 per mile for Breast Cancer Care  (£3700) but 3 years on we are still getting donations - thank you..............

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Breast Cancer Care gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you

A really big thank you to everyone who has sponsored me so far including :

Grinnall Specialist Cars (Mark Grinnall) for building the trike in the first place and very kindly overhauling it before my trip. http://www.grinnallcars.com/

Triumph Motorcycles (Bruno Tagliaferri) www.triumph.co.uk for donating Triumph goodies to raffle

Tudor Signs  01922 632121 for providing the butterflies

The toll on the bike was 2 front fork seals and a buckled wheel (all down to the potholes in Russia).  Apart from that it behaved admirably even putting up with the poor quality petrol in the former eastern block countries.

As for me - I now have biceps anyone would be proud of !!.
