Cord is an international charity that works with people in highly sensitive and oppressive contexts to transform dysfunctional relationships into those that create peaceful & inclusive societies. Our vision, mission and values are inspired by the Christian faith. Our Vision is of a world where all people live in the fullness of peace; having the freedom to flourish and live free from fear. Our Mission is to transform dysfunctional relationships between individuals and communities and those holding power into positive and thriving relationships built on mutual dependency and trust. Cord works in partnership with local community based organisations to develop their skills, knowledge and expertise with a view to enabling them to more effectively advocate on behalf of communities with government, private companies, and others with power and leverage to impact the quality of life of disadvantaged communities.

Story

Well, I did it! 32 miles in 10 hours and 50 minutes - stiffness set in in the last hour, but nothing that a hot bath couldn't cure. No lasting damage to feet, unbelievably! I am slightly aware that my ligaments are 40 years old and no longer 20... The walk was absolutely beautiful, filling in the gaps between areas I know quite well, through green fields and past hedgerows bursting with honeysuckle, and stunning timber-framed houses hidden in the deep countryside. Company was provided all the way by Mitchell To, a tutee from Hong Kong - made the time fly by. Thank you Mitchell! It really helped knowing that I was getting sponsorship for every mile travelled. Thank you SO much for helping me and No 7 raise money for Cord's work in wartorn countries. Total count for the house around £1300, I think! THANKS!!
