Year after year, on the the third weekend of April, I am usually to be found sitting on the sofa, recovering from a night out, watching the London Marathon and saying 'I really want to do that'!  Well, i've bitten the bullet and decided that 2010 is the year that I will be the other side of that TV screen running those 26.2 miles!  At 10 miles in I am likely to be wishing I had chosen the hangover option, therefore, I am asking for your sponsership to make my pain worthwhile and to give me that extra boost in the knowledge that I am raising money for such a good cause!

St Johns Hospice is based in the north of London.  St John's provides invaluable support and care to anyone in central and North West London suffering from a terminal illness, ranging from cancer and HIV/AIDS to Motor Neurone Disease and vCJD.  All their services are totally free of charge, which means that they rely on donations to continue providing extra special care for those with a terminal illness.  I understand that, to some of you, St Johns may seem a long way away in London, however, as with any hospice, St Johns provides such an amazing service to patients, their family and friends at such a difficult time in life.  I am very proud to be running with St Johns name on my vest as i know, the work they do makes such a positive difference to the lives of people with a terminal illness.  Therefore, please dig deep and donate to such a worthy cause!
