Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!!
As most of you know my usual exercise regime consists only of shaking it down at parties and gigs with my favorite alcoholic beverage in one hand.
What you probably don't know is that on Sundays I volunteer for a charity called 'The Food Chain' cooking and delivering meals to people with HIV all over London.
Every Sunday (since Christmas Day 1988), Food Chain volunteers plan, prepare, cook and deliver over 400 meals to Londoners who are housebound because of HIV. They use 6 borrowed professional kitchens across London, and their own cars, to provide nutritious food which is tailored to the dietary needs and preferences of each service user, to tempt them back into eating and provide the strength to live with their condition. Each meal contains a hot main course, a dessert and a cold snack for later. All done on a budget of just £3.25 per person!!
To raise money for this super charity I am running the Blenheim Triathlon on Saturday June 7th. For someone as disinclined to sport as me, this will be no mean feat so please dig deep and sponsor me online. I will let you know how I did on this page after the event.
