Thank you for visiting the Inner City Project's Fundraising Cycle Ride page.
On the 2nd July 2011 our team of cyclists will take part in two routes around the Tyne and Wear area, but also including Seaton Delaval Hall in south east Northumberland.
This year's cycling team includes: Gerard New, Kath Lohfink, Dave Edgar, Karen Findlayson, Lil Adams,
The majority of our cyclists will take part in a triangular route from Holy Jesus Hospital, in Newcastle, to Souter Lighthouse, in South Shields, through to Seaton Delaval Hall, via the Shields Ferry and then returning to Holy Jesus Hospital. In all they will have cycled just under 40 miles.
A lucky (mad) few will take the longer route visiting every National Trust property in Tyne and Wear and Seaton Delaval Hall in Northumberland. Their route is as follows: HJH, George Stevenson Birthplace, Cherryburn, Ebchester Woods, Gibside, Washington Old Hall, Penshaw Monument, Souter Lighthouse, Seaton Delaval Hall and finally after 77 miles, returning to HJH.
The funds raised from the cycle ride go directly to the Inner City Project to help deliver out-of-doors, countryside activities for young and older residents on Tyneside. Please support our fundraising efforts by making a donation on-line from this page!
Many thanks,
Gerard New,
Project Manager, Inner City Project
