SMA is a genetic disease that affects motor neurones. 1:40 of us is a carrier and in its most severe form children rarely live beyond 2 – making SMA the leading genetic cause of death in babies and toddlers. The SMA Trust is solely dedicated to funding research into a cure and treatments for SMA

Story

The Walk - Three unfit old boys, Stephen Marsh, Blake Rose and Chris Norman, who are losing the battle against middle aged spread, are attempting to walk 25 miles of the South Down Way on the 20th August to raise money for the SMA Trust.

Octavia Woodward is the inspiration for our challenge. Born with SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy), Octavia has limited mobility, but she has never let she disability limit her in any way, taking on challenges such as skiing, diving and horse riding.

The money we are raising is going to the SMA Trust's Momentum Appeal, funding research to help ensure no one else is born with this dibilitating condition.

Please give what you can.
