Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Why am I riding a bicycle from Winchester to Eastbourne?

Last year, one of my neighbours' daughters was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. She has undergone a year of chemotherapy and has another 18 months of treatment ahead.

Throughout her time spent at the The Royal Marsden Hospital she has received outstanding care. Her parents, Kirsty and Andrew, have a simple aim - to raise £20,000 for the continuing work of the children cancer research department of The Royal Marsden Hospital.

Over the weekend of the 23rd/24th June 2012, as part of a team of cyclists of varying levels of: fitness, offroad experience and fashion sense, I will be cycling the South Downs Way from Winchester to Eastbourne (over 100 miles in distance, with ascents totalling over 11,500 feet) in order to help raise a team total of £7500.

Please support me through what looks like a tortuous venture (see the route profile here: http://www.bikedowns.co.uk/Profile%20All.htm#ProfileAll ) by donating generously. If you are able to Gift Aid your donation - even better.

Thanks,

David

Some words from JG:

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
