The off road trail runs for 100miles from </span><a title="Winchester, Hampshire" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winchester,_Hampshire"><span style="color: black; text-decoration: none; mso-themecolor: text1; text-underline: none;"><span style="font-size: small;">Winchester</span></span></a><span style="font-size: small;"> in </span><a title="Hampshire" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hampshire"><span style="color: black; text-decoration: none; mso-themecolor: text1; text-underline: none;"><span style="font-size: small;">Hampshire</span></span></a><span style="font-size: small;">, to </span><a title="Eastbourne" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastbourne"><span style="color: black; text-decoration: none; mso-themecolor: text1; text-underline: none;"><span style="font-size: small;">Eastbourne</span></span></a><span style="font-size: small;"> in </span><a title="East Sussex" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Sussex"><span style="color: black; text-decoration: none; mso-themecolor: text1; text-underline: none;"><span style="font-size: small;">East Sussex</span></span></a><span style="font-size: small;"> with about 13,620 ft of ascent and descent. My plan is to complete a <strong>double </strong>traverse of the South Downs Way on a mountain bike, covering the 200miles and 26000ft of ascent in 24hours. The date is set for the 31st of July 2011, so training commenced yesterday!</span></span></p>
