Beat is the UK’s eating disorder charity. Our mission is to end the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders. These serious mental illnesses ruin and, too often, take lives. Our Helpline is available online or by phone for anyone suffering, as well as their family and friends.

Story

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my page, I really appreciate it.

I am walking 1130 miles from John O' Groats to Lands End, the Length of the UK, with two targets in mind:
· To raise £10 for every mile I walk, so £11300 overall. The money will be going to Beat who are am amazing charity who work supporting people who have eating disorders and their families.
· To help people understand what an eating disorder really is, and what they are like to live with. So I can therefore help to change the public perception of eating disorders and get people talking about them.

If eating disorders become more accepted in society then people will be less scared of admitting they are suffering from one. And the sooner the disorder is diagnosed, the sooner it can be treated, and the less likely it is to take over the sufferers life, or ultimately, take it for good.

If you want to follow my progress and keep up to date with how it is going (how much my feet are hurting) then feel free follow my page on facebook clicking on this link http://www.facebook.com/pages/So-You-Think-You-Can-Walk/183296791755753 and pressing like.

Any donation at all, however large or small will be greatly appreciated and don't forget to gift-aid it!

Thank you so much for your support, and helping me towards my goals, and hopefully we can make a real difference to many peoples lives.
