The crew of the Southampton Harbour Masters Patrol launch rowed from Eling tide mill (River Test) to Woodmill (River Itchen) to raise money for the Naomi house childrens hospice, on the 3rd July 2010 in 2hrs 15 min at an average speed of 4.2kts (but managed to top 6.2kts at dock head).
Naomi House children’s hospice is a charity that provides support to children and young people with conditions that mean they are unlikely to live to become adults.
The charity provides care to families living in communities across the seven counties of Berkshire, Dorset, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Surrey, West Sussex and Wiltshire.
