We may be crazy, but on 24th July we are taking part in the Cambridge Spartan Sprint - http://www.spartanrace.com/cambridge-obstacle-racing-spartan-sprint.html
If you've never heard of a Spartan Race before, here is a basic overview from the website:
Spartan Race, the global leader in Obstacle Racing since 2005, was designed by seven insane ultra athletes and a Royal Marine. If you have tried trail races, mud runs, tough guy fun runs, or a warrior dash, it's time to step up to a brutal Spartan Race obstacle course.
There are some staples in our repertoire. There are also some venue specific and terrain inspired obstacles.
We will not, however, spell it out for you.
There is fire, mud, water, barbed wire, and occasionally Hell on Earth.
There WILL be obstacles to catch you off guard. Curve balls, so to speak.
Get over it.
We’re here to rip you from your comfort zone. If you need a road map for each step of the way, then maybe this race isn’t for you.
