Story
HELLO! Are you listening?
Now this is the story all about how
My life got fixed, turned right back round
And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became slim and strong like a bear
In West Kent county, born and raised
In McDonalds where I spent most of my days
Chilling out, drinking, eating all the food
And all shooting some bad guys like a gamer dude
When a couple of pies, that had done me no good
Started making trouble in my massive pud
I got one little fright and my mind got scared
And said "You're moving your fat arse up and out of that chair"
I juiced for a while and out went beer
My veggies were "fresh" and I had nice year
If anything I could say that this change was rare
But I thought nah, forget it, this diet is fair!
I turned up to a race on Day 30, Month Eight
And I yelled to the belly "Yo, flab, see you later!"
Looked at my body I was finally there
To run with my friends, without gasping for air.
Well - That's the plan anyway. 1st January 2014 I weighed 21st 2lb. I'm out of shape, unfit, fat, basically a mess. Well I'm doing something about it. I'm doing a 60 day juice fast and keeping a video diary of my journey. I'm doing DDP Yoga. I'm losing weight and training to prepare myself for a run on 30th August 2014. Eight Months.
This isn't any ordinary run, but a Spartan Race, with obstacles, mud, barbed wire, water. Basically everything that would ususally make me crawl under a duvet with a burger and cry. But I'm going to do it!
I'm opting to raise money for the MS Society as my Dad has Multiple Sclerosis and I can see the impact it can have on lives. This race is the sort of thing he would love to have a go at a few years ago, and probably could've done. I have the choice to do something about myself and my situation so I can do the race. That choice is a luxury that MS takes away.
£500 is a huge target for one man - but I've got 8 months to raise the money. Please feel free to ask me any questions through twitter at @sean_judge. If you do give, I thank you from the bottom of my heart and please remember to GIFT AID.
Thanks for your time :)
