Donations supplement the funds received by the government as the numerous and forever increasing health needs cannot be entirely met by the NHS. The donations help enhance and extend the quality of care, treatment, services and facilites for patients and in so doing continually improve health standards. Help raise £150,000 for an overhaul and expansion of Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The Lynn News has teamed up with the hospital to raise enough money to create space for two new cots, a second parents' overnight room, improved security and a total revamp.

The Special Care Baby Appeal aims to ensure Lynn has the best possible facilities to allow sick and premature babies to be cared for close to home.
