On 17 September, 10 middle aged men of all different shapes and sizes are rowing 22 miles from Docklands to Richmond as one of the 400+ traditional boats taking part in the Great River Race.  Our boat is a Drascombe Gig, a whaling boat popular at the end of the 19th century, and our expected rowing time is 4-5 hours.

We are raising money for Spinal Research, a fantastic charity committed to finding a cure for paralysis caused by spinal injury.  Despite the enormity of this task they are making amazing progress, with the first clinical trials of previously irreversible spinal repair planned over the next couple of years.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
