Story

John Spinks

Following John Spinks' untimely death in October 2002 we have been looking for a way to raise funds in his memory because he was a wonderful person who is sadly missed by everyone who met and knew him.

In 1998 John, Andy Brittle and myself cycled from London to Paris on behalf of the Royal British Legion. As a tribute to John’s memory Martin Robbins and myself have decided to cycle from John O’Groats to Land's End, starting on Monday 24 July 2006 and arriving in Cornwall (hopefully) on Saturday 5 August 2006. Our objective is to donate the funds to CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young), a charity that works to raise awareness of sudden death syndrome, particularly in young adults.

We will be updating this page regularly so that you can chart our progress.

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Cardiac Risk in the Young will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

Please donate generously.

Many thanks for your support.

Well the lads left John O'Groats on Monday 24th July 2006 and arrived at Lands End on Thursday 3rd August 2006.
