Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

We are Tim Keeling and Peter Bloor.

In June 2010, on our trusty bikes, we will depart from London on a trip that will take in a host of countries, cultures and vistas on our way along the historic Silk Route to China. Follow us on our Spinning Silk blog.

'Why the bloody hell do you want to do that?', I hear you scream. Well, aside from the life-changing experiences that await us, we're also passionate about raising money for our chosen charity, the MS Society.

The MS society works wonders to further scientific research into improving the treatment of multiple sclerosis, a disease that affects over 100,000 people in the UK alone. Raising money for MS is especially personal for us, as it's a condition that afflicted Tim's father and Pete's grandmother.

Please give generously to this most worthy charity. Every penny donated will fuel our fires, and we'll fly down the dusty roads knowing that each revolution of the pedals counts for so many people.

Thank you on behalf of Tim, Pete and the thousands you'll be helping.

As the purse is emptied, the heart is filled.
