A principal "rule" of the challenge is to buy a 'banger' for £100 and spend no more than £25 making it sahara worthy.The route will take teams entirely unaided through two continents, eight countries, two mountain ranges, a minefield and the Sahara Desert, before reaching the finish line in Timbuktu, West Africa. Here the cars will be auctioned off for local charities.
The route is 4,500 miles so if we can raise a pound a mile thats £4,500 for an amazing cause.
We're running the rally in aid of Plan Internation a charity i have sponsored through for 7 years, and we hope to detour via projects along route.

£20-50 - Rural health visits in Sierra Leone or a new start for exploited young girls in Nepal
Under £100 - Equip a childrens ward in Uganda
£400 - Train a health worker Sudan
£1795 - Renovate a school in China
