Welcome to my fundraising page!
Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is the most common life-shortening, inherited disease in the UK. The disease attacks a number of organs in the body, primarily the lungs and pancreas, clogging them up with a thick sticky mucus making it difficult to breathe and digest food. People with the disease typically require an ongoing daily regime of medication and physiotherapy, frequent courses of intravenous antibiotics and often in the end stages, heart and lung transplants.
The Cystic Fibrosis Trust was founded in 1964 to fund research aimed at understanding and treating CF and provide support for people with CF and their families.
I have helped set up 'Raise For CF', which is a campaign dedicated to raising funds for the CF Trust's gene therapy research. We are organising a series of events and initiatives to attract sponsorship and donations aimed at contributing to the fundraising required to develop effective gene therapies for Cystic Fibrosis.
I am passionate about the trust's work and will be running the London Marathon on 23rd April to try and raise a bit of money and do my bit towards the cause. So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support, if you have not done so already, please visit our website at: www.raiseforcf.com for futher details of our campaign.
Anthony.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Cystic Fibrosis Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
