CLAPA is the national UK charity supporting people affected by cleft lip and palate. We provide specialist feeding equipment, trusted information, one‑to‑one and online support, youth services, and community events, while raising awareness and championing better cleft care for all.

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.

My son, Archie [pictured left] was born with a Cleft Lip and Alveolus.  He has received surgery and now has a smile .  As a family, we have received the best of care from The Cleft Lip And Palate people and feel indebted to them.  Hence the reason to endure the hardship of cycling coast to coast to try and raise funds for them.

We are embarking on a 136 mile route that takes from Whitehaven on the NW Coast, over the Fells and Passes in the Lake District, then over the Pennines (ouch) and finally on to Sunderland on the North East Coast.  The route very hilly and we should suffer quite a bit  .  I have set no fundraising target - if you wish to contribute, please put in what you can afford.  I am paying for my Accommodation, Food, Parts.. everything - All monies raised will go directly to the CLAPA Charity organisation.

Cheers

Phil Barrowclough.
